Our Success Stories
Six year old Shanti(name changed ) facing great emotional upheaval at the loss of both parents and separated from her siblings landed in our care in 1997, an alien environment indeed. Picking herself up, she completed her PUC while with us and supported by a kind donor who also mentored her pursued education in social work and found a well paying job. Today, a much married, confident young woman of 25 years, she has two children and is raring to volunteer her time for girls who were once in her predicament.
It was in 2010 that a frail and withdrawn pre-adolescent, Bharati (name changed) from a dysfunctional family was admitted into the Sadan. This bright and talented girl quickly made the transition to institutional care and its set routine and blossomed into a vivacious adolescent. Offered the opportunity to purse higher education by another NGO, she completed her M.Sc. degree and is today employed as a Research Assistant at an MNC.
